Recognizing our Corporate Sponsors for 2012

02-Feb-2012

Our local corporations have already made 2012 a great year by sponsoring the following events:

For Gardens Uncorked! Arvest and Mitchell Williams are two of our sponsors. Arvest is a sponsor for a second straight year while Mitchell Williams was a founding sponsor for the inaugural event. In addition, we are excited to announce that E.&J. Gallo Winery has agreed to sponsor the Gardens Uncorked! by providing the wines we will be sampling that evening. Gardens Uncorked! will be held on Saturday, May 5 at Compton Gardens.

August 18th will mark a special day of celebration as we honor and recognize the centennial anniversary of Dr. Neil Compton’s birth through a special preview party of an exhibition that educates the public on his many contributions to conservation. The next day and rest of the month will be open to the public free of charge. Rhonda and Harrison French are sponsoring this very special “birthday party.”  Randy and Valerie Lawson have also signed on as sponsors for the Centennial Celebration of Neil Compton’s birthday. Randy Lawson is the President & CEO of Lawco Energy Company. This will be an invitation-only event and is not a fundraiser.

School Days will offer more opportunity to learn about Arkansas History to a greater number of fourth-graders by adding a third day, September 11-13. Avery Dennison will sponsor this event for a second straight year.

The Christmas Gala returns on December 1 and will be sponsored by Arvest, Rhonda and Harrison French, and Mitchell Williams. Please note that each of these sponsors is already supporting another event during 2012.

Citiscapes has just been added as a year-long sponsor for all our events in 2012. This marks the third year of partnership with the regionally-based magazine.

The Wal-Mart Visitors Center just became another corporate sponsor for 2012, notifying us that they wished to sponsor The Gardens Uncorked! on May 5th and the Christmas Gala on December 1. This is not the first time for help. At the 2011 Christmas Gala, the Wal-Mart Visitors Center donated their tent for the hospitality hour. This allowed the event to grow from a limited 80 in the Carriage House to 125, using the entire house for dining while the hospitality hour was staged in their corporate tent.

There are still opportunities to sponsor events for 2012. Please contact Connie Hendrix-Kral at 479.254.3870 or chendrixkral@peelcompton.org if you are interested in a proposal.
